The Fitted Horse Privacy Policy

 

This policy sets out the basis on which the personal data collected from you, or that you provide to us will be processed by us.

 

1. DESCRIPTION

 

The Fitted Horse is a company in England and Wales.

 

The Fitted Horse sells saddles, bridles, bits and accessories directly to those people who live locally, by appointment after demonstration of the equipment at the prospective clients address or my facilities.

 

2. PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED FROM YOU 

 

The personal data (known as “Your personal data”) which I collect from you are set out as follows:

  • Your name, title and if relevant job title
  • Your invoice address,
  • Your delivery address, if different,
  • Your email address,
  • Your telephone number. 
  • Information on your horse’s fitting

 

3. USE MADE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

 

We will use Your Personal Data that you provide:

  • To enable fulfilment of your orders and to provide the services relevant to you; 
  • To contact you regarding the fulfilment of orders and thereafter should we need to update you regarding the product you have purchased

 

4. RETENTION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AND SECURITY

  • The Fitted Horse is committed to ensure your information is secure and we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the information collected via contact with you online or in person, to ensure that any personal data is kept secure.
  • The Personal data is kept for a period of 6 years as required by HMRC for administration records.
  • Saddle, bridle and bit fitting records such as horse template with some personal information on them are kept for 12 years due to the Consumer Rights Act October 2015.
  • Should you advise that your personal data has changed we will update this personal data within seven (7) working days of any new or updated personal data being provided, to ensure that the personal data held is as accurate and up to date as possible.

5. YOUR RIGHTS

  • You are entitled to ask for a copy of any personal data held about you and to have any inaccuracies in your personal data corrected. If you wish to get in touch for these purposes, please email emma@thefittedhorse.co.uk
  • The Fitted Horse is unable to visit or process an order if you are not prepared for your personal data to be held as it is being used for the purpose of supplying goods or a service and such goods and service are related to your safety when being used with horses. 
  • We urge caution if following a link supplied on third party hosted sites such as facebook . If you follow a link to any websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to such websites.

6. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

  • We do not disclose or share Your Personal Data provided in the course of purchasing from The Fitted Horse, to any third party other than the manufacturer of products you order where required

The Fitted Horse may however, disclose Your Personal Data to third parties in the event that:

  •  The Fitted Horse is sold to a new proprietor in which case we may disclose Your Personal Data to the prospective buyer of the business only.
  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share Your Personal Data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply Terms and Conditions and other agreements; or to protect our rights, property, or safety of any third parties. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection.

7. COOKIES AND IP ADDRESSES
